An intriguing set of chamber jazz pieces- very well done. It does venture a bit outside at times, as well as to a wide spread of points on the spectrum from modern jazz to classical, but never lingers too long in any one place. Highly recommended!

Can't say enough about how good this album is! One of the few releases that will find enjoyment from both the jazzheads and post-rockers alike. I can read with it in the background or intensely focus on the twists and turns that the music takes. More of this please.

Carlos Quebrada's Sales de Baño ("Bath Salts") sextet is what more jazz ensembles should aspire to be like. It's jazz from Argentina that desires chamber music status, perfectly seasoned with calculated doses of dissonance, sophistication, and the avant-garde, to complement rather than overwhelm the underlying flavors.
